We’re Sara and Cait, and our love story began in 2020 after we broke up with booze.

After four years of friendship, a spark started with innocent kisses fueled by "liquid courage" and countless late nights up sharing our dreams. Cut to 6 months later and our relationship was crumbling under the weight of hangxiety. We were booze-soaked, fighting, and not our best selves. After a blowout argument on Thanksgiving, we both independently made a conscious decision to raise our standards, quit drinking, and build a life worth being fully present for.
Look, reading this sounds like a smooth and effortless transition that was easy and painless. It wasn’t, it was bumpy and messy and painful in the beginning. It took us a while to navigate our feelings and assess where we were at. We were in our twenties and didn’t want to stop being the life of the party. Society had screamed at us that life without alcohol meant sacrificing enjoyment. Then, something interesting happened; when friends would come over and we’d serve them our favorite n/a beverage and they’d opt out of the wine they brought. When we chatted about a podcast or quit-lit on our nightstand, they’d go home and order it. Quickly, we realized that there was so much to an alcohol-free life AND other’s wanted in on it!
